My HOMEPAGE
(Updated January 2026)
CONGRATULATIONS!
You have found your way to the homepage of Roland Ray Stroud.
Here is the situation, folks. A couple of years ago I decided to perform a complete makeover on the website. I had left it pretty much unattended for several years. I regretted that then, and I regret it even more now, because for various reasons it was never convenient for me to update things here. Now I am finally getting around to the work, and it is probably even harder now. I have to go through everything that is here already, and I have a few new items to add.
I had forgotten how much fun it is to work with HTML and to see the results before yourself in a web browser. But, man oh man, has the coding really changed over the years! I started working with all this in the late 1990s, when coding was much easier. It has been a real struggle to deal with "modern" HTML. What rankles me most is that the jackasses who write the books and tutorials to help you do not understand that the basis of good teaching is a good example! I should perhaps add that I actually code the material that goes onto the website. I am not using some kind of application that does it for you.
Those of you who want to communicate with me are welcome to do so. In the early days of the internet, I used a clickable email link, and I wish I still could do that. But today the "web crawlers" scoop up personal information like email addresses. Consequently, you will need to enter my address manually. It is just my complete name (at the top of this article after CONGRATULATIONS). Use it as one long word with the appropriate email service (you can see the name and address in the graphic below). I tried to obscure everything with the squiggly lines, but the sophisticated technology today can probably read it anyway. Please put something into your subject line that will let me know that your message is not spam.

Anyway, right now the website does not have much. Some of the links in the Index below point to empty folders. But the Index shows a listing of some things that I hope to make available soon. Please come back again.
